Virtual Event: Register on Eventbrite for free to attend

Historic theaters are universally loved. Whether traditional Vaudeville or Nickelodeon, downtown or main street, they embody identity, nostalgia and community. The state of Washington's 2008 DAHP Historic Theaters Statewide Survey and Physical Needs Assessment, produced by Artifacts Consulting, Inc., lead to the development of a state funded grant program.

In the MDR chapter's first-ever virtual event, Daniel Ronan will present his findings of the review of the program to date, identifying successes and outstanding barriers, while spotlighting impassioned advocates and community voices.

His research presentation will be followed with a panel discussion with:

Eugenia Woo – Director of Advocacy at Historic Seattle

Huy Pham – Grant Program Manager at the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation

Scott White – Community advocacy for a Historic Fox Theater in Centralia, Washington

Share your favorite theater from across the Pacific Northwest and be a part of the program by submitting photos to sahmdrnewsletter@gmail.com
